Summary: For the 2018-2019 School Year. - Substitute teachers are those who hold a bachelor degree (or higher) in education - Requires Nebraska teaching or substitute certificate - Daily rate of pay for full day is $154.68 - Applicants who do NOT hold a degree in education, apply for the Certified, Teacher, Local Substitute - Employees retiring or changing to a substitute only position are subject to NPERS and 403(b) rules and may need to wait 90 or 180 days before applying for rehire.
